White Paper - Synopsis: Comparison of TCE Degradation in Groundwater vs in Groundwater in the presence of soils
ARS Technologies, Inc. (ARS) has expanded the Zero-Valent Iron (ZVI) reduction technology through the development of an insitu remediation process (FeroxSM) that involves the injection of a highly reactive iron powder directly into the contaminated soils and aquifers. Through this process, dissolved, adsorbed, and free-phase halogenated hydrocarbons can be effectively reduced to target levels. An important mechanism involved in the source treatment is the ability of the zero-valent iron to use naturally occuring electron mediatiors located within the subsurface to catalyze the reduction process. This new process is detailed in a comprehensive four-page white paper now available on our web site in both HTML or PDF format at http://www.arstechnologies.com/whitepaper11.html.
